Dogstar Reno Concert reviews
Visually Dazzling!
We got in right away after purchasing preferred parking ahead of time for $20, and the venue was excellent. When we arrived, they were already letting people in, so there was no need to wait in line. Additionally, as T-Mobile customers, we received complimentary phone chargers. We found comfortable seats towards the back and center upon entering, allowing us to have an amazing view of the entire show and easy access to amenities like the bar, bathrooms, and concessions. Most importantly, we were not disturbed throughout the performance, which featured four artists in the following order: Alex Metric, Dash Berlin, Dillon Francis, and Dogstar. Alex Metric's performance was lackluster, with repetitive and dull beats reminiscent of a subpar Vegas club. Dash Berlin followed, expanding the screen and incorporating some intriguing old school rave elements into his set. After a brief 5-minute intermission, Dillon Francis took the stage and began strongly, but his performance lost its momentum after the initial 15 minutes. His set lasted approximately 45 minutes before a 20-minute break, leading to Dogstar's grand entrance with an impressive LED screen display, complete with fog and lasers. While visually stunning, the musical aspect of Dogstar's performance may vary based on personal taste. Overall, the show could have benefited from a shorter set by Dogstar, as there were numerous filler beats between songs. While not flawless, the experience was certainly worthwhile. In comparison, previous concerts featuring The Glitch Mob and Feed Me were notably superior to Dogstar's performance.
